Here are some frequently asked questions about SaveTheOca.org:

What is the purpose of this site?

This site serves as both a petition and a pledge drive - participants are eager to affect change in the OCA but are unsure of how to do so. Based on the current financial situation in Syosset, we believe the fastest way to promote change will be to show how serious the OCA community is about seeing change.

What happens if your demands are met?

We will contact the necessary parties in charge of the new OCA, and arrange for a "rebuilding" fund to be initiated. We will only proceed to contact the parties who have pledged if (and only if) the new OCA administrators agree to detail how the funds will be used and distributed.

Are you collecting money?

No. We are not interested in ever touching any money. We will serve as simple an aggregator of pledges from OCA members who are eager to see a resolution to the current scandal.

Who are you?

We are some concerned parishioners located at an OCA Parish in New Jersey. We have no other motives than to finally see this scandal come to a fair and just conclusion, with all accountable parties receiving a just punishment. We strongly believe that without accountability, the future of the OCA is at risk. Who we are is also irrelevant as the cause of this site is more important than any one person. We do this not for publicity or name recognition but in an attempt to instigate a change.

What's in it for you?

Nothing except an answer to our prayers and a resolution to this embarassing scandal.
